FOR SS17, Christian Louboutin, the French shoe designer famous for his red soles, has introduced an accessories collection for his men’s line with a kingly theme. Each of the leather goods in the range is embellished with a new Louboutin coat of arms, signalling that the house has become an empire.

The emblem, featuring a large red crown filled with stars topping the brand’s CL logo framed by pearls and metallic studs, decorates an offering of calfskin leather bags handmade in Italy – from a weekender tote bag named Bagdamon, a sophisticated portfolio called TricTrac to a modern Explorafunk backpack, including smaller necessities like the Panettone wallet.

The ecusson will also appear on a selection of new styles of the house’s signature – shoes. Oliveira is a light and versatile slipper silhouette that can be worn both as a mule or a slingback and Ecupump is a loafer fit for both day and night.
The new collection is launching today and will be celebrated throughout the month by window displays and invitation-only events around the world coinciding with Men’s Fashion Weeks.
