Erdem Marks 20 Years With an Archival Capsule Collection

CELEBRATING two decades of the British house, Erdem has returned to its own archive, selecting ten looks drawn from across its history.

The anniversary capsule revisits silhouettes, prints and textures, each piece re-editioned and finished with a bespoke embroidered patch noting its original season and look number. It’s fashion as memory, handled with care. “This collection is an act of remembering,” says Erdem Moralioglu. “A dialogue between past and present.”

We see this play out through key pieces that trace the house’s narrative via a botanical lace dress from Spring/ Summer 2015 which references the work of Marianne North, while a crystal-embroidered overcoat from Spring/ Summer 2022 highlights the designers interest in restoration and process, plus the Autumn/ Winter 2006 printed voile gown, drawn from the designer’s first collection, nods to the early days.

Together, the 10 looks form a beautiful and reflective study of the house design codes and romantic storytelling.

To coincide with this anniversary moment, Moralioglu has also released his first monograph, a nearly 400-page book published by Rizzoli, which tracks the house’s inspirations, muses, and creative process, with contributions from long-time collaborators and figures from fashion and the arts.
