Alpha-H Vitamin C Paste 10% LAscorbic Acid
From the Australian skincare brand Alpha-H (which never puts a foot wrong), I love this easy to apply paste which contains a really generous proportion of the highly effective skin improving antioxidant vitamin C. This smooth velvety paste helps balance skin tone, reduces hyperpigmentation and offers some protection against sun damage.

Chanel UV Essentiel Complete Protection SPF 50

Chanel UV Essentiel Complete Protection SPF 50
If you only do one thing for your skin, please, please wear an SPF – even in the winter or when there is no obvious sun – and this Chanel product is one of the best. Protecting against UV rays (short and long UVA, UVB and indoor lighting), this light cream with a light rose scent absorbs dreamily into your skin and leaves no ghostly white tinge on the face.  Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm

Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm
I would like to give every single product made by British skincare brand Merumaya an award. However if pushed, I opt for their Melting Cleansing Balm. For my pronetodry skin, my cleanser of choice is always a balm (I find anything else too drying) – though it is great for all skin types.

Merumaya’s brilliant balm – containing natural sweet almond oil and high in vitamin E – transforms from a balm to an oil when applied to the face which then melts away even the most stubborn mascara giving my complexion a thorough deep cleanse which doesn’t leave it taut or uncomfortable. The balm is very fairly priced and the tube is recyclable too.

DR DAVID JACK POTS W BRUSH YELLOW TIPDr David Jack Face Paint Peel Yellow Mask

Dr David Jack Face Paint Peel Yellow Mask
I highly rate each and every one of Dr David Jack’s products. Dr Jack is a highly regarded London-based aesthetic doctor who has an expert knowledge of skin and skincare and how they interact with wellness.  His Face Paint Peels treating different concerns are great home treatments (which are rather fun to use as you paint them on with a dingy brush) which I use once a week. I like the Yellow Mask (with retinol, kojic, mandelic and citric acids) which helps exfoliate the skin as well evening out skin tone. It can also diminish pigmentation and dark spots too.

 Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Serum

Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Serum
If I had to pinpoint the product that had made the biggest difference to my skin, then Skinceuticals CE Ferulic would be top of the list. The powerful serum is packed with 15 per cent Vitamin C in one of the most stable formulas I’ve tried, with the addition of vitamin E and ferulic acid to aid its antioxidant power. Since I started using it, people have commented not just on the evenness of my complexion, but the newfound glow that it imparts – often, people ask if I’ve been on holiday. On some occasions, I’ve even been mistaken for wearing make up. It’s hands down one of the best investments you will ever make in your skin.

Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro

Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro
Although the Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro is a relatively new addition to my beauty arsenal, it already holds a fundamental role. Every evening after I cleanse and exfoliate I pop the mask on and lie back for exactly nine minutes, the time it takes to cycle through the mask’s three LED settings; red light for anti-ageing, blue light to fight acne and a combination of the two. Those 9 precious minutes of self-care are a time to unwind, relax and let the stresses of the day melt away, all while giving my skin an at-home LED therapy session. Plus, it looks super cool in selfies.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
I’m a big fan of exfoliating and having made the jump from physical to chemical exfoliants, The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution remains my favourite resurfacing product. Packed with a supercharged acid formulation, this is not a product intended for first-timers – even experienced acid users should build up their tolerance slowly. I’m at the stage of using it twice a week for 20-30 minutes at a time and the results speak for themselves. Rinsing off reveals baby-soft glass-like skin, ready and primed to absorb the serums I apply afterwards to maximum effect.
