Glass celebrates London Fashion Week SS17 at St Martins Lane

THE night before London Fashion Week entered full swing for SS17, Glass headed to the St Martins Lane in Covent Garden, central London to pre-raise a glass to the season.
Glass occupied The Den, a modern snug and decompression zone situated just off the impressive lobby. Amid the warm and sophisticated room, decorated with tongue-in-cheek British flair – thanks to the irreverent art riffing on various visual puns on the walls – Glass partied on in the intimate space throughout the evening to the sounds of DJ Gari Foster.
A Morgans Original, boutique hotel St Martins Lane proves it’s good to be unique. Based in London’s theatre district, it was opened in 1999.  Guests enter the hotel through London’s tallest revolving doors into the high-concept interiors originally designed by Philippe Starck which follow through from lobby to suite, to cocktail bar The Blind Spot all the way to chino-latino fusion restaurant, Asia de Cuba. Like sister hotel Sanderson, the charm is all in the immaculately expressed and idiosyncratic details.
Our evening was appropriately accompanied by plentiful cocktail concoctions courtesy of D1 Spirits, a luxury London-based drinks brand combining traditional craft with contemporary art to deliver incredibly smooth premium spirits and an innovative lifestyle concept.
Providing an intriguing accompaniment for the party D1’s dry London Gin and latest offering of D1 Potato Vodka formed the basis of the D1 Mint Breezer, gin, Monin cucumber syrup, fresh lime juice, Fever Tree tonic and fresh mint, the D1 Summer Cobbler, D1 Potato Vodka infused with pink grapefruit and rosemary topped up with Fever Tree ginger ale, and the inspired D1 Gin & Tonic / D1 Vodka & Tonic, served with choice of Fever Tree tonic – Classic Indian, Elderflower or Mediterranean. Suffice to say, we were spoilt for choice.
Glass would like to thank all of those involved in making our SS17 London Fashion Week Pre-Party happen and all attendees for coming along and showing their support. We look forward to further seasons of success and valued contributions to fashion.
