THE great Yves Saint Laurent is famously quoted as saying, “Fashions fade, style is eternal”, and we could not agree more. Cultivating your own style is a process that takes time, so what better time to celebrate style than now, in the tenth year of Glass. Over the past decade, we have steadily built our own style of voice, taste and presentation in the many pages we have printed. Without the Glass team and their own style, these pages would not be what they are today. A 10-year celebration calls for the Glass team to be celebrated too. In the following weeks, we will be showcasing individuals from the publication, capturing them as they go about their day-to-day in their everyday style. To kick things off, we start with the Managing Editor, Lily Rimmer, in other words, me.
The photographer Annie Harmeston, spent the day with me in East London, catching my best angles in the British sunshine. An up-and-coming talent, Harmeston has built an impressive portfolio already. Harmeston has worked in e-commerce with The Manifesto, as a photographer for All Eyes & Search Style, shot campaigns for Girl Power Gang x Champion, and has worked as a backstage photographer for Edeline Lee and Adidas x Ji Won, as well as a street style photographer at LFW for the past couple of years. Harmeston is versatile, working within fashion, commercial and conceptual themes and her style is clean and modern – making her the perfect opener for the Glass Street Style Series.
