Over the years, Brooklyn’s TV On The Radio – whose A-list line-up of previous collaborators include David Bowie, Trent Reznor and Nick Zinner – have amassed a cult following with their quirky art rock, arch lyrics and tight production. That following will be happy to learn of a one-off London gig next week ahead of the release of the band’s fifth album Seeds. The follow up to 2011’s Nine Types of Light and the first since the loss of bassist Gerard Smith to cancer, Seeds is out on Harvest Records next month. And if first single Happy Idiot – complete with off-the-wall video – is anything to go by, that three-year absence has been well worth the wait.
