This week at the Emilio Pucci SS16 ready to wear show, there was a moderate explosion of colour, coral and everything cut-out. It was a feast for the eyes with everything it had to offer. All with an exotic twist.
The show opened with what would be one of the most simplistic outfits in the show. Showing off an array of stripes which made a few appearances throughout the collection. However, this was then overtaken by masses of colour and a slightly jungle like tone that came in the middle of the show. Finally the last selection of outfits were beachy in their tone. Fish, coral and beachy cover ups all inspired a summery day-dream for what is yet to come.
There was a lot going on in this show, but it was unified by a holiday in a-far-off place vibe to it. It’s a strong collection that did include many pieces that will be perfect once spring returns, but there’s still a selection for anyone who is a little more daring in their wardrobe.
