Bottega Veneta Continues to Honour Artisanal Craft in Bottega for Bottegas Initiative

NOW IN its fourth edition, Bottega for Bottegas 2025 continues its mission to recognise and uplift craftspeople whose work preserves tradition while shaping contemporary culture. This year’s selection highlights artisans from three cities important to Bottega Veneta’s history and identity: New York, Milan, and Venice.

Launched in 2021 as a way to spotlight small-scale makers, the initiative has since evolved into a global showcase of workshops and studios whose dedication to craft echoes the spirit of the Italian bottega. Each edition strengthens the link between Bottega Veneta and the broader world of craftsmanship, celebrating the hands, histories, and skills that sustain these métiers.

At the heart of the 2025 collection are two silver-plate glasses by Granci Argenterie, a Milanese silversmith founded in 1926 and one of the oldest in the city. Granci Argenterie embodies the delicate balance between heritage and progress, using traditional techniques to create objects that feel unmistakably modern. Their inclusion reflects Milan’s long-standing role as a centre of design, culture, and artisanal knowledge.

From New York, Heath Wagoner contributes a series of sterling silver cocktail sticks, crafted in his Brooklyn studio. Known for tableware and barware that merge sculptural clarity with everyday function, Wagoner represents a new generation of artisans who reinterpret classical craft for a contemporary audience. His work brings an American perspective to the tradition of aperitivo culture, bridging New York’s creative energy with Italian conviviality.

Venice, a city synonymous with centuries-old craftsmanship, is represented through Paolo Olbi, whose hand-bound notebooks have become treasured keepsakes for collectors and travellers alike. Olbi’s practice preserves the Venetian art of bookbinding. It is an art rooted in patience, precision, and storytelling. Each notebook combines ornamental beauty with the intimate tactility of handmade paper, embodying Venice’s poetic approach to craft.

Together, these makers illustrate the varied expressions of artisanal excellence, each rooted in a place that has shaped Bottega Veneta’s history.
