Not since the 1970s has a fabric department been so excited. The launch of Heal’s own-brand fabric collection has created quite a stir as we see the return of archived designs by very well established names, alongside designs from up-and-coming designers, each contributing to the range.
Top Brass by Zandra Rhodes
The fabric collection celebrates the use of bold colours in addition to strong designs, drawing inspiration from decorative arts, nature, archived fabrics and jewellery. With themes such as horticulture, teatime and peacocks in the French Riviera, the designs are hugely distinctive. Designers contributing to the project include the British much-loved Zandra Rhodes (design seen above), the late Diana Bloomfield (whose grand-daughter helped to update her design) Cressida Bell, Emily Patrick, Paul Vogel, Ottilie Stevenson, Malika Favre (design below), Hvass & Hannival and finally, Petra Borner.

The collection is aptly named 1810, the year in which the company was founded.
