A NEW chapter in the Fendi fashion house history has begun, as the brand announces the appointment of Kim Jones as Artistic Director of haute couture, ready-to-wear and fur collections for womenswear.
Joining Silvia Venturini Fendi, third generation of the Fendi family, who will continue to create the accessories and menswear collections, it has also come with the surprising news that the fashion designer will not be leaving his role as Artistic Director of Dior menswear, and will instead serve as both roles at the separate fashion houses.

Businessman and Chief Director of LVMH Bernard Arnault has welcomed the new appointment of the designer to the historic house, “Kim Jones is a great talent and since joining, he has continuously proven his ability to adapt to the codes and heritage of the LVMH houses while revisiting them with great modernity and audacity. At FENDI, I am convinced that his vision and passion will highly contribute to the success of the women’s collections.”
Kim Jones will present his first Fendi ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2021-22 season for Milan fashion week in February. The appointment also marks Jone’s first steps into womenswear.
