THE ITALIAN outerwear giant Moncler has debuted its first foray into fragrance with two new scents housed in ultra-futuristic bottles that feature customisable LED screens that can display personalised messages.
The duo, Moncler Pour Homme and Moncler Pour Femme, has been designed for men and women, respectively, both mixing high-tech and heritage signatures, in particular innovation, nature and discovery, all longstanding hallmarks of the 69-year-old label.
Moncler Pour Femme, £170 for 150ml
The eye-popping 150 ml bottle, an ode to the brand’s roots in skiwear, boasts horizontal silver ribbing, intended to replicate the iconic quilting on the brand’s beloved down jackets and, most notably, LED screens that light up with scrolling red letters of your choosing that can be altered via a smartphone app.
As for what’s inside the bottles, each eau de parfum contains a mountain woods accord, which was formulated exclusively for Moncler by Givaudan perfumers. Both scents also have notes of cedarwood to evoke a woody, outdoor feeling and sandalwood for its warming and comforting qualities.
Moncler Pour Femme, developed by perfumer Nisrine Grillié, also boasts a powdery snow accord creating a woody and uplifting scent that captures the freshness of wintertime with Italian bergamot and jasmine, while Moncler Pour Homme, the brainchild of Antoine Maisondieu and Christophe Raynaud, is a muskier fragrance that emulates the smell of a mountain forest with a musky mix of amber, cedarwood, and sandalwood.

The new endeavour is a product of Moncler chairman and CEO Remo Ruffini and his team’s brand-new partnership with Interparfums. The prestigious French perfume company, which has previously overseen fragrance launches for some of the biggest names in the industry — Coach, Jimmy Choo, Van Cleef & Arpels and Boucheron, to name a few — will oversee the production and distribution of the fragrances across Moncler stores, as well as luxury departments, boutiques, and travel retailers.
“Moncler as a brand has such a covetable status — it’s a brand that really embodies innovation, which is why these perfumes feel like the perfect continuation of its story,” said Philippe Bénacin, CEO of Interparfums.
“With these two fragrances, even the bottle itself is a new adventure, a new spirit, and a new way of communicating — whether it is to write your name, a special message or anything you like.”
