Strathberry launches their first non-leather capsule collection in partnership with Tara Swennen

SCOTTISH luxury house, Strathberry, is writing a daring new chapter in its illustrious history. A bold stride from the traditional path of fine Spanish leathers, the Edinburgh-based label, spearheaded by creative stalwarts Guy and Leeanne Hundleby, teamed up with LA celebrity stylist Tara Swennen to unwrap their first-ever non-leather capsule collection.

Renowned for championing a greener approach to fashion, Swennen. Named as one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 25 Most Powerful Stylists four years in a row, she was also recognised as Best Vegan Fashion Stylist at the inaugural Vegan Fashion Week. A fervent advocate of eco-friendly fashion, she infuses this release with a potent fusion of elegance and ethics.

The collection offers classic black in Strathberry’s iconic East/West, Crescent, and Midi Tote designs. These styles are subtly elevated with handwoven crochet details in contrasting vanilla tones, offering a modern yet timeless feel.

Handcrafted with finesse, these pieces utilize smooth, Italian-made grape leather. This innovative, eco-friendly material originates from the the Italian winemaking industry. The waste from the vineyards is repurposed using cutting-edge techniques to yield a smooth, richly textured faux-leather, ensuring no resource goes unused. Composed of 80% recycled raw materials, this green, glamorous leather alternative signals a tangible shift towards a more sustainable future.

Celebrating Strathberry’s exquisite craftsmanship, this collection emphasizes the brand’s continuing to strive for innovation, piquing the curiosity for what’s to come next.
