MILAN, ITALY — Fine Settimana is the new Weekend Max Mara capsule collection for Autumn/ Winter 2025, co-created with the Italian label Giuliva Heritage. The label was founded by Gerardo Cavaliere and Margherita Cardelli, renowned for their impeccable tailoring rooted in the Neapolitan sartorial tradition.
True to its name, Fine Settimana — the Italian for “weekend” — embodies the essence of Weekend Max Mara, embracing a tailored nonchalance that caters to a woman’s desire for escapism, to swap daily chaos for a quieter retreat where she can relax, unwind, and indulge in quality time for herself.

With craftsmanship eclipsing showmanship, the collection is imagined for a strong, resilient, and self-assured woman who finds beauty in confidence rather than ostentation. She values timeless simplicity, interpreting each piece with ease thanks to an innate ability to combine different elements with grace and harmony.

The collection alternates tailored structure with fluid lightness, juxtaposing borrowed-from-your-father-or-grandfather silhouettes with feminine flourishes such as ankle-grazing pleated skirts and blouses adorned with wispy silk bows or pleated fronts.
Trousers are soft and full, creating a relaxed fit, while knitwear is crafted in mohair or wool blends with silk or cashmere in various finishes. The Neapolitan tradition is particularly evident in a single-breasted, three-button jacket with a reversed lapel buttonhole that remains unfastened — a detail paying homage to an old custom that once identified the craftsman and master tailor behind the creation.

An oversized cocooning coat with a wide collar and back pleats showcases the principle of layering, while a single-breasted style in chevron wool channels a lady-of-the-manor elegance. Emphasising lasting quality, the prized fabrics include fine wools in solids, mélange, pinstripes, and Shetland patterns. Cotton poplin, silk, corduroy, denim, and leather further enrich the collection for the upcoming season.
The colour palette — spanning greys, baby blues, hazy earth tones, autumnal foliage hues, wine red, and purple — draws inspiration from nature. The revisited Pasticcino Bag, modeled after a classic doctor’s bag in durable vegetable-tanned leather with a sponged finish, along with a pair of leather riding boots, completes an exquisite collection designed to be styled freely and with character.
