Barbour x Paul Smith Channel the British Seaside

FOR Spring/ Summer 2026, Barbour and Paul Smith return with their second collaborative outing, turning their attention to the peculiar charm of the British seaside. Founded in South Shields in 1894, Barbour built its reputation on hard-wearing outerwear designed to withstand coastal weather, while Paul Smith, who began in Nottingham in 1970, has long brought wit and character to British fashion.

Together, they return to the coast, drawing on the small details of a British day by the sea, think wind-tossed deckchairs, melting ice creams, and changeable skies. Archival photographs taken by Paul Smith and his father appear throughout, lining jackets and surfacing on tees, lending the clothes a personal, nostalgic touch.

Spanning menswear and womenswear, the 46-piece collection reworks Barbour’s outerwear signatures with Smith’s distinctive aesthetic. The Transport and Spey jackets arrive in blue and green gingham, while the Durham Wax Jacket is offered in new seasonal shades. Silhouettes are relaxed and easy breezy.

Paul Smith’s signature stripes sit alongside Barbour tartan, with polka dots and checks punctuating the palette. Footwear features archive-inspired D-rings, while accessories lean into maritime references through fishing-style bags and embroidered bucket hats, and each jacket is finished with a small “Fortuna Fish”, a playful talisman that curls in the palm to reveal a supposed fortune, adding a note of irreverence to the collection.
