Alexander McQueen show announced at V&A London

Alexander McQueen show announced at V&A London

London is the home of McQueen. It’s as simple as that, and though simple is a stretch for the Alexander McQueen vocabulary, it’s the savage beauty of the corybantic capital that the great Alexander himself recognised. And when Glass heard that the V&A would be delving into Savage Beauty itself, by housing the exhibition next year for Spring 2015; an exhibition that has been  astonishing the rest of the world  since its debut at the Metropolitan Museum in New York in 2011.

The McQueen show is the first and largest retrospective of the late designers oeuvre to be presented in Europe, showcasing a provocative body of work spanning from the MA graduate origins to the final outing. Bolstered by the kind of theatrical stage essence synonymous with his shows, be sure to catch a glimpse of McQueen’s return, after all, in his own words, “London’s where I was brought up. It’s where my heart is and where I get my inspiration.”

Tickets go on sale on April 25. Book Online or by calling 02074209736.

Savage Beauty comes to the V&A with support if the house of Alexander McQueen, and in partnership with Swarovski and American Express.
