Burberry releases new outerwear campaign

THE great outdoors require great outerwear, and the new Burberry outerwear campaign provides just that. Burberry has had a long love affair with outdoor apparel dating back to its brand origin, and the new campaign is the next step in the relationship.

Danko Steiner, the photographer behind the campaign, captures notions of freedom and adventure in the images. Models Irina Shayk, Nic Minwoo, Miles Gardner and Niclas Baker sport the new outerwear collection while standing on top of plinths surrounded by the beautiful English countryside.

Uninhibited dancers float behind the models suspended in the air by nature’s glory. It’s an ode to the grandeur of the great outdoors and the uniforms worn when exploring them.

Riccardo Tisci’s inspiration for the campaign came from the brand’s adoration for nature and fashion history, including the invention of gabardine by Thomas Burberry. The campaign collection features an updated lightweight version of the beloved gabardine fabric.

All new puffer jackets that have been innovatively designed and cut from water and wind-resistant recycled nylon fabric are a focal point in the campaign. Outerwear is made for adventure.
