Burberry takes to the streets of Chengdu for Lunar New Year

IN CELEBRATION of the Lunar New Year, Burberry has just released its latest campaign and collection.

Having previously called upon talents such as Qi Xi, Shi Pengyuan and Zhao Lina for its Year of the Rabbit campaign, Burberry has decided to tap new faces for the Year of the Dragon.

Starring brand ambassadors Tang Wei and Chen Kun – two notorious Chinese actors – the campaign takes to the streets of Chengdu. Despite being set in the provincial capital, the latest collection is centred around archetypical Burberry British wardrobe classics.

From houndstooth check to elegant trench coats, the seasonal offering embodies the British luxury brand’s house codes. Meanwhile, timeless plaid has been distorted and reimagined to follow the body’s natural contours for a new, contemporary twist on the classic print.

Setting the tone for the Year of the Dragon, the pieces are presented in a vibrant red – a hue traditionally associated with good luck and prosperity.

Additionally, new accessories – including exclusive eyewear styles – reflect the warm colour palette found throughout the collection.
