WITH A two-decade long history with the brand, it seems apt that Charlize Theron is named as the Face of Dior Capture. Known for her timeless beauty, the South African-actor and philanthropist takes to leading the way in luxury skincare in a campaign photographed by Brigitte Lacombe.
The newly transformed line, Dior Capture, is the product of 40 years of skin research, aimed primarily at looking at anti-ageing through the study of mother cells. The range itself has depth, from Capture Totale Hyalushot (£75) that is a cosmetic wrinkle filler and Capture Totale Retishot (£92) that is a concentrated retinol night treatment, to a new Dior Capture Day Cream (£97) that works to firm your face and neck and blur wrinkles.

However, it is the newly launched Dior Capture Le Sérum (£97) that takes the famed formula and now boasts results in as little as seven days. Your skin feels replenished and younger looking through technology that promotes collagen production by threefold and optimises delivery of oxygen using a patented pro-penetrating exo-liposome. Best of all, it’s formulated with 97% natural origin ingredients.
Speaking on her new appointment, GLASS exclusively hears from Charlize Theron.
What kind of women does Dior represent in your mind?
Dior represents all women, and consistently helps them feel beautiful and empowered, not just for special occasions but in their everyday lives as well. I love that the House of Dior has always committed to making women feel confident, and their products and social initiatives have always reflected that.
What was your favourite part of filming the new campaign by Brigitte Lacombe?
I loved that Dior brought together these diverse and inspiring women from around the world to tell their stories and share their unique visions of beauty. The way Brigitte brought these stories and portraits to life was incredible to witness, and I can’t wait for the world to see the way these women have captured what it means to find fulfillment and joy in their own ways and from all walks of life.
How would you define your skincare philosophy?
Good skincare has always been important to me, and not just for the obvious reasons of appearance. Your skin is your body’s largest organ, and a huge part of your overall health. When I take care of my skin and use high quality products, I not only look my best, but I feel my best.
What is your skincare routine like and how does it differ between morning & night?
In the morning, after rinsing my face I apply my serums, creams and always finish with an SPF. For early days on set I like using cooling eye patches and a face mask on the way to set. At night, I start with a deep clean, sometimes some red light therapy, and a combination of serums, creams and occasionally an overnight mask when I need some extra hydration.
Which lifestyle habits have you changed recently that you are most proud of?
Usually when I prep for a movie I get into my whole workout routine, which changes depending on the type of project. Right now, I’m currently learning to rock climb which has been a fun and rewarding challenge, and I have stuck to my weekly pilates sessions which I’m proud of. It feels good to stick to an exercise program and get that constant flow of endorphins.
