REVIVING a new element to the Dunhill sphere, fine jewellery is making its comeback. Crafted from 18 karat gold and using the British brand’s longstanding automotive heritage as inspiration, Creative Director Mark Weston is bringing elegance to modern masculinity.
The collection, titled Transmission welcomes a new chapter to the accessory offering. Beginning in the 1930s, Dunhill started and has continued to offer pieces including lighters, cufflinks, bracelets and more, all balancing craft, innovation and clean design – a trio of qualities with which they are synonymous.

Integrating specialists within the Richemont Group to aid in this new adventure, a focus on a tactile connection to the motoring world was at the forefront of this project. Referencing the inner workings of gearboxes in cars, the limited-edition capsule collection showcases 18 karat white and yellow gold bracelets, rings and necklaces.

Remaining sleek and contemporary, a signature rigid pattern is digitally milled allowing an execution of precision and fine detailing combining diagonal cuts, grooves and knurling reminiscent of those found inside an automobile’s transmission. Ensuring that the high-level of craftsmanship found in their garments is mirrored in the jewellery, the pieces, created in France, are given their finishing touches by hand and engraved with Assay marks.

“The exploration and interpretation of modern masculinity was integral in the development of this collection,” comments Weston. “I wanted to create something beautiful from something unexpected, that embraces our legacy in fine jewellery and craftsmanship”.
