Stella McCartney has a knack for making everything look effortless. This season, she stresses that by using thick winter fabrics like wool in a delicate, swishy manner that belies their stiffer materiality. Structured tops gave way to full, fluid silhouettes, and most of the collection had a easy, wearable air about it. While the juxtaposition of hard and soft can sound like somewhat of a cliché, McCartney kept things fresh with asymmetrical folds, off-shoulder necklines, and a variety of textures—ranging from understated brocade to long haired fur. To balance all this, neutral shades of classic camel, cream, navy, and black dominated the collection.
