Tom Ford’s new AW14 campaign is full of life, which is a good thing, because it’s giving us life too. The recently unveiled campaign also has one of the clearest voices this season, upholding Ford’s predilection for women with a clear sense of style. Ford himself suggests that it’s all about “focusing on the personal, individual style of different types of women”, and his dynamic democracy of fashion forward heroines, including Gigi Hadid, Yaya DeCosta and Valentijn De Hingh, band together with poise, outfitted in the designer’s latest collection.
The immensely chic threads, running the gamut from fluid black eveningwear to sequinned soccer superb jersey dresses, are deftly distinguished due to the photographic knack of Johnny Dufort, whose vision for Tom Ford is effortlessly Ford-ian in its commanding aesthetic. One of the hottest new male models of 2014, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is also thrown into the mix as an accessory to Ford’s newest eyewear range, with images launching this week on Tom Ford and breaking internationally in September books.
