Carlton Tower teams up with Jessica Prealpato for a new afternoon tea experience

LUXURY hotel Carlton Tower introduces an all-new afternoon tea menu crafted by award-winning pastry chef Jessica Prealpato. Prealpato disrupts and enhances the traditional afternoon tea experience using unexpected pairings and unique, high-quality ingredients. The afternoon tea menu is “a tribute to nature” with four separate courses and two palette cleaners inspired by the tastes and beauty present at London’s own Kew Garden.

Great attention to detail is evident in the presentation of each course, such as the delicate flowers decorating the smoked Praga ham and Comté cheese sandwiches through to the birdcage tower that houses the desserts. Guests are encouraged to try a variety of teas from the impressive international tea selection as they progress through the set menu.

Guests can expect rich flavours and surprising dishes, including the palette cleansing herb sorbet, an ode to the distinct and refreshing scent of the freshly cut Kew Garden grass. The menu includes four variations of mini scones and spread, including a dark black charcoal rosemary scone complete with rosemary wood-smoked mascarpone.

But make sure you leave room for the pastry finale, which consists of five unique sweet treats. The Jessica Prealpato afternoon tea at the Carlton Tower is the perfect afternoon outing for nature and food lovers alike.
