BESIDES the extravagant 64 pieces featured in the Chanel Fall 2017 Haute Couture collection and aside from the garments and staggering 38-meter high Eiffel tower set-piece – also known as the Chanel tower – the brand definitely knows how to create a memorable show focusing on every aspect to make it a grand event. Another significant element on the runway in Paris was, of course, the make-up.
Make-up artist, Tom Pecheux, was the man behind the looks on show. Recently signed as YSL’s global beauty director, Pecheux, has created looks for Lanvin, Emilio Pucci, Elie Saab and Moschino as well as Zoe Kravitz, Kate Winslet, Paris Jackson and Princess Diana for a range of magazines.

Creating bright, abstract eyes for Chanel, the colour palette was a selection of popping colours which exploded across the eyelids. The shimmering eyeshadow had a brown, highlighter colour as the base with a deep red gliding across the eyelid. Directly underneath the eye was a royal blue eyeshadow replicating the red.
Dark green blended into yellow blended into an orange gold enhanced the brow bone. The intense mix of colours contrasted with the outfits – yet they worked well with them – and suited all skin tones. The eyeshadow used is all a part of Chanel’s 2017 eye collection.
