Moncler Grenoble Unveils The Beyond Performance Exhibit in Milan

IN MILAN, Moncler Grenoble has launched The Beyond Performance Exhibit, a public exhibition exploring the brand’s evolution from alpine outfitter to pioneer in performance-driven luxury.

Open from 8-28 February 2026, the immersive installation is staged in the courtyard of Portrait Milano, coinciding with the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina.

Portrait Milano’s historic courtyard has been transformed into a forest landscape, inviting visitors to step away from the city and into Moncler Grenoble’s alpine world. The setting references the brand’s origins in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont, near Grenoble, France, where Moncler first developed protective clothing for local mountain workers before expanding into high-performance outerwear.

Visitors move through three colour-coded pathways, each highlighting a distinct era of Moncler Grenoble’s history. The Blue Trail traces Moncler’s origins, showcasing original sleeping bags and anoraks, alongside early puffer jackets developed with French explorer Lionel Terray.

At its centre stands the Karakorum jacket, which was created for the Italian K2 expedition in 1954 and is still a defining symbol of the brand’s technical heritage.

The White Trail focuses on winter sports and performance, pairing Moncler’s original ski suit designed for the French Olympic team in 1968 with its official 2026 race suit for Brazil’s Olympic ski team. Archive designs from the 1980s and 1990s further highlight the intersection of sport, culture and style.

The journey concludes with the Red Trail, a mirrored, runway installation that reflects Moncler Grenoble’s present and future. It features key looks from landmark runway shows, including an exclusive preview of the Aspen Fall/ Winter 2026 collection.
