DEMONSTRATING her love for dance alongside her adoration of the pristine British countryside, Victoria Beckham’s spring-summer 2024 collection acts as a love letter to her upbringing.

The designer has been carefully crafting the trio of scents behind the scenes after having experienced immense success with her beauty line.
Speaking on the process, Beckham said: “Working on the fragrances, and the memories connected to each of them, really emphasised how important storytelling is to me, and always has been…Last season, when I was already working on them, that element naturally found its way into the collection narrative. This season, it became a starting point.”
Utilising her fragrances as a source of inspiration, it’s clear that Beckham wanted to build upon the holistic allure of her brand.

With a front row formed of an impressive assortment of A-listers – including Eva Longoria, Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian and more – the event buzzed with excitement and anticipation for the designer’s latest pieces.
Showcasing a collection full of intimate references to Beckham’s daily life, the models glided down the runway in an array of dresses alluding to the designer’s ballerina past. “I went into my mum’s storage and brought out all my old tutus,” explained Beckham.
“I’m a frustrated ballerina! But I just wasn’t good enough so I had to find something else to do.” Channelling her passion for dance and the arts, a collection of refined dresses fixed with padding typical of a dancer’s ensemble floated down the runway.

Meanwhile, fabrics such as tweed also made an appearance for SS24. Having spent many weekends in the countryside, knee-high socks and breeches allude to Beckham’s fondness of the outdoors.
Additionally, Beckham visited many old houses scattered around the British landscape in order to further inform her collection.
Tablecloths, curtains and other furnishing textiles are referenced frequently through small embroidery detailing and embellishments. Showing her affinity for 1930s fashion, elegant tea dresses were also featured – one of Beckham’s signature silhouettes.

Unveiling a new square leather gym bag – available in three sizes – the designer ensured the collection’s accessories remained versatile and adaptable for her target customer.
Tote bags have also been elevated through the addition of the brand’s classic B buckles – seen elsewhere as the metallic hardware detailing on her luxurious belts.
Transporting the attendees of her SS24 presentation to the British countryside, Beckham stayed true to her classic design codes and bewitched Paris with her immersive, sensory runway show.
