“We will always have London”: Nan Goldin captures the capital for Gucci’s Cruise campaign

GUCCI‘s new campaign, “We Will Always Have London,” curated by creative director Sabato De Sarno draws our attentuion to the Gucci Blondie bag and the Cruise 2025 collection.

The campaign, photographed by renowned artist and activist Nan Goldin, stars the revered musicians  Debbie Harry and Kelsey Lu, exalting London’s everlasting lure and eminent influence on Gucci.

Framed amongst the sweeping storied streets of London and acclaimed modern art spaces, the campaign connotes realms of art and fashion and their enchanting convergence. Debbie Harry, punk pioneer and Blondie front-woman, shares the spotlight with Kelsey Lu, a modern-day musical visionary who beautifully encapsulates Gucci’s signature blend of nostalgia and soul.

The Cruise 2025 collection debuted at London’s Tate Modern, revealing a bounty of textures and chic style where bold embroidered details meet tailored outerwear. The Gucci Blondie bag—originally launched in the 1970s—returns as the star of the show, with its iconic circular logo and modern silhouette– bridging the eras of Gucci’s design archive.

With this campaign, Gucci implores its deep connection to London by adoring the city that played an intrinsic part in the beginning of founder Guccio Gucci’s career. As the brand celebrates its legacy, it also looks forward, reveling in avante expression and timeless elegance.
