On the 12th of November 2010, Kenzo formed the focus of the latest Fashion in Motion Event at the V&A. Created in 1970 by Kenzo Takada, the label is renowned for it’s lively prints and vibrant colours married with cross cultural references first created by the founder’s Japanese roots and now to great acclaim by the Sardinian heritage of it’s creative director,Antonio Marras.
Now in it’s fortieth year the label goes from strength to strength with a loyal following and an influence amongst a whole range of young, aspiring designers.
Glass caught up with Marras to talk about the anniversary collection and what the future holds for him and for Kenzo…
