Glass presents Disco in the Dunes – a beauty story by photographer Helen Mcardle, styled Josie Harris, directed by Liz Sheppard

PARTY in the dunes with disco balls in the sand – this atmospheric film runs like a mini movie and evokes a feeling of the 1970s Peter Weir movie Picnic at Hanging Rock with an under current of the unexpected. Disco in the Dunes was filmed and photographed on the south coast of England, East Head, a spectacular spit of land out to sea, one of the most beautiful areas backed by dunes and marram grass.
Why disco in the dune? It feels other worldly – the giant landscape and nature with something a little alien and ethereal. Our beautiful girl, Petra dances alone, running through the dunes, searching for something we will never know. Beautifully captured on our one and only beautiful day amongst a three week period of continual storms, rain and wind – the giant moody clouds, big skies, smoke in the dunes and vast landscape adds to this beautiful atmospheric story.
