WATCHMAKERS and jewellers Van Cleef & Arpels have unveiled three new timepieces, which were developed over the past decade – just in time for the Watch & Wonders fair 2022.
The Extraordinary Objects include two new watches, added to the brand’s Poetic Complications collection, and a planetarium which complements their Poetic Astronomy line.
Van Cleef & Arpels Lady Arpels Heures Florales and Lady Arpels Heures Florales Cerisier
The two watches Lady Arpels Heures Florales and Lady Arpels Heures Florales Cerisier are both in 38mm, white gold cases adorned with diamond dials in white, rose, and yellow gold, as well as yellow and white diamonds, and white mother-of-pearl.
Both watches feature a miniature painting and a mechanical movement with different floral designs for every hour. The Heures Florales comes in a blue alligator strap, while the Heures Florales Cerisier is available in a pink version.
Van Cleef & Arpels Planétarium automaton
The Planétarium automaton stands at 50cm tall and 66.5 cm wide (108cm if the doors are open). The planetarium also includes an hour/minute display, a perpetual calendar, and an on-demand animation and melody.
The featured planets are crafted from different materials such as gold, diamonds, ebony, goat leather and gem stones such as sapphire, garnets, jasper, and ruby.
