IN February Fendi made headlines with their FW18 collection by interlocking Fs with one of the most iconic sportswear brands of the 1990s, Fila. It left fashion lovers shocked, stunned and wanting more. Playing on the current trend of logo mania, Fendi is to drop their capsule collection named Fendi Mania this month.

The capsule collection focuses on the re-appropriation of the Fendi logo, designed by the Instagram artist @hey_reily, which first hit the runway earlier this year. Fendi Mania breathes music and sport references, giving Fendi a street style edge as it explores luxury sportswear.

Channelling the 1990s, the collection offers something for men, women and children. Expect vivid colours and a patchwork of logos true to the Fila aesthetics. The collection is comprised of T-shirts, parkas, trousers, sneakers and genderless accessories all adorned with the newest logo.

Fendi Mania – an obsession for Fendi, or desire to be a part of their universe – aims to not only re-appropriated the Fila logo, but the entire 1990s vibe inherent to it. Fendi released a psychedelic video using VHS-effects and a kaleidoscope of colour, immersing its viewer into the world of Fendi x Fila.
