Sofitel celebrates its 50th anniversary


  The Sofitel hotel group celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2014. Being a French company, the three core themes running through the entire celebrations are very appropriately – design, gastronomy and culture.

Throughout the year, Sofitel, which is synonymous with French elegance and style,will reveal the 50 magnifique moments that best embody these themes by unveiling via Sofitel’s Facebook page a series of events and partnerships.

To commemorate 50 years in business, Sofitel have published their 2014 anniversary edition of the Sofitel Travel Agenda pocket guide, which includes exclusive interviews with four French icons: Paul Bocuse, three Michelin-star chef; Jean-Claude Ellena, Perfumier at the House of Hermes; Bertrand Piccard, inventor of the Solar Impulse project; and finally, Ines de la Fressange, French model extraordinaire. Sofitel’s exclusive hotels in more than 40 countries are showcased in the guide, which also includes a list of cultural events taking place in each of the cities.
