Accor hotels announce partnership with AXA to improve pandemic recovery

THE outbreak of COVID-19 has had a damaging impact on the world economy, and while affecting all sectors, it has hit the hotel, leisure, retail and travel industries practically hard. Due to this, most hospitality businesses have put in cautionary methods to get back on their feet after the pandemic.

As Accor, the French multinational hospitality company, prepare to reopen their hotels following pandemic guidelines, they have developed and implemented stringent health, safety and wellbeing protocols for maximum safety.

Last week they announced a strategic partnership with AXA, a worldwide insurance company, to offer unique medical assistance in hotels worldwide. As soon as July 2020, Accor guests will benefit from the highest level of care thanks to the expert medical solutions of AXA Partners.

To help with the forthcoming Covid-19 rebound Accor has also launched a unique cleanliness and prevention label: ALLSAFE. The company, which has over 5000 hotels worldwide, has established the label to enforce strict cleaning standards and operational procedures to ensure guest safety. These standards have been developed with and vetted by Bureau Veritas, a world leader testing inspections & certification.

Accor CEO Sebastien Bazin has recently stated that ALLSAFE requirements include “a lot of different measures, one, of course, being contactless check-in, check-out and payments,” alongside “sanitisation kits for guests” and “hospital-grade room disinfection” .

The full video statement from Sebastien Bazin regarding the ALLSAFE label can be viewed on the Accor website here.
