LUCHO brings Chilean cuisine to The Rosebery

USHERING in the warm weather with equally delightful cuisine, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has just announced the launch of its brand-new dining spot, Lucho.

Located at The Rosebery, Lucho offers light, contemporary culinary delights. As the first Chilean restaurant in the city, the menu features traditional favourites such as empanadas, pisco sours and ponchera.

Tapping into his Chilean heritage, the supremely talented Executive Chef Francisco Hernandez imbues generational knowledge and expertise into every plate. As a result, it comes as no surprise that the entire restaurant is closely connected to the Chef’s family.

Named Lucho after Chef Francisco’s grandfather, the dining venue radiates a genuine warmth and an authentic atmosphere. Lucho previously owned a small grocery store in Chile and frequently held gatherings for his friends and family at the back of the store.

Eating delicious homemade cuisine, sharing funny stories and playing an array of board games, Lucho’s parties were the place to be.

From Chilean favourites such as Palta Cardenal, British Seafood Tiraditos, Pescado al Horno and many more, the menu pays homage to the Chef’s incredible grandfather. Similarly, Chef Francisco continues to forge strong familial ties by including ultra-light churros con Manjar as a dessert option – a sweet moorish treat cherished by his own children.

For those seeking flavourful South American cuisine, it’s clear that Lucho is the destination that has every ingredient for success.
