Disney and Givenchy team up for a new capsule collection to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company

THIS year, one of the most beloved multinational media and entertainment companies in the world, The Walt Disney Company, is hitting a mark of 100 years, and what can be a better way to celebrate such a commemorable date than with the triumphant return of their very first animation character – Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in collaboration with Givenchy.

He is the perfect symbol of the upcoming year as, according to the Chinese Lunar year calendar, 2023 is the year of the rabbit. Known as a clever and fun-loving character, Oswald adorns Givenchy’s capsule collection, from jackets, cardigans, and bomber jackets to t-shirts, hoodies, and jeans – including a variety of extra accessories ranging from special release tote bags, mall cross-body bags, caps, phone and earbud cases; and even a Disney x Givenchy tennis shoes.

To create this sentimental capsule, Givenchy’s creative director Matthew M. Williams seized his inspiration on a global scale, from New York and Paris to Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Tokyo, striving to re-create the spirit of adventure resulting in a “one-of-a-kind world tour” that combines Oswald’s high-spirited mischief with his personal artistic vision for the house of Givenchy.
