THIS winter season, Graff, a true master of exceptional jewellery, unveiled their new creation during Paris Couture Week – a necklace of incomparable beauty and unparalleled craftsmanship.
In reference to the Tribal collection, which launched in 2021, the recent design explores and expands upon contemporary motifs. The interplay of light and shadow created by these contrasting diamond cuts creates a mesmerising sense of depth and perspective, elevating the necklace into a work of art.
The necklace is truly an authentic masterpiece – that will surely capture your attention—featuring a rare and extraordinary 50-carat D Flawless oval diamond as its centrepiece, surrounded by 100 carats of diamonds in various cuts, including pear shape, emerald cut, oval, round, and baguette cut. As if imitating ripples that spread out when a stone is cast in water, the design builds in momentum, with the stones graduating in size and the design elements becoming more complex as it reaches the crescendo.
The process of creation behind the piece was as distinctive as the piece. Graff combined contemporary design with their renowned craftsmanship to create a graphic frame of emerald cut diamonds around the oval diamond and sleek rows of calibreì cut diamonds radiating outwards. The pendant gives the illusion of the D Flawless diamond floating on the diamond surround, with a fringe of oval and pear shape diamonds suspended beneath, adding to the necklace’s striking appearance.
