SUMMER is drawing closer, and Gucci has made us long for warmth even more, after releasing its sun-drenched advertising campaign – featuring a very unlikely protagonist.
The Of Course a Horse campaign involves a horse, of course
An intriguing trio of a human couple and a horse, who congregate at various locales such as a car wash and a kitchen, raise some questions. However, the answers are not accessible, meaning that the exercise of equine inclusion is an symbol of playfulness, of surreal absurdity.
One of the many looks featured in the campaign video
The looks themselves combine Gucci’s signature opulence with a nostalgic look back at summers past: dreamy golds and oversized shades hark to the sepia-toned 1960s at the Chateau Marmont, in Los Angeles, where the campaign was shot.
The location of Los Angeles evokes a relaxed, L.A summer
While you may not be able to accessorise with a horse, the tailored jackets, mixed denim shades and rich greens are all pieces will look great with a brilliantly golden backdrop, come summertime.
