Luxury fragrance house Stories Parfums unveils new sustainable initiatives

STORIES Parfums, a pioneer in the niche fragrance realm, has unveiled a new series of initiatives as part of their commitment in uniting luxury with sustainability.

Founded in 2018 by Irish perfumer Tonya Kidd-Beggs, Stories Parfums is renowned for their rich, transportive scents that are concocted using ancient crafts, while upholding the House’s unwavering ethical values.

The first initiative unveiled is the brand’s eco-forward rock paper bottle labels. Crafted from matt white calcium carbonate derived from 80 percent marble mining waste together with 20 percent recycled HDPE, the innovative material can be easily recycled and, unlike wood paper, doesn’t have a grain, leaving it with undeniably stylish and smoother finish.

Then, there’s the brand’s new bottle caps made from Zamak, an 100 percent recyclable material that boasts an excellent cost, strength and ductility balance. One of the very few brands to use this highly resistant alloy in the perfume industry, Stories Parfums is also offering a 10 percent discount on your next purchase if you return your cap to them along with its bottle.

Another initiative that has been announced is a waste-minimising refill programme. All perfume bottles purchased from the brand are fully refillable and can be supplied with a pipette for ease of transfer, while convenient travel sizes in 15ml and 30ml can be easily refilled from a larger 100ml bottle.

Lastly are the brand’s responsibly sourced ingredients and excellent agricultural practices. All of Stories’ eau de parfums and hand and body products are produced using the best manufacturing practices that comply with international and environmental regulations and laws — the majority of them being ISO certified and often even ECOCERT certified.

A shining standard in the luxury fragrance industry, Stories Parfums are leading an ever-growing shift to sustainable perfume production with their earth-conscious practices and decadent packaging — now it’s time for others to follow suit.
