Daniel w. Fletcher collaborates with Courvoisier on a capsule collection

HINTING at a collaboration during the company’s February’s London Fashion Week show, London-based brand Daniel w. Fletcher has announced a partnership with cognac brand Courvoisier.

Bridging the gap between fashion and drink, they have come together to celebrate joy through redesigning a range of limited-edition bottles and a ready-to-wear capsule collection.

Stocked exclusively at Harrods from today, the 200 decorated bottles of the VSOP cognac are hand-painted in the designer’s signature brushstrokes and numbered by Fletcher himself. Layering the floral coloured paint across the bottle, the complex and rich taste of the drink is emulated on its exterior balancing versatility with chicness.

Beyond the exclusive drink, a unisex line echoing the same design of the bottle adds to this collaboration. With the statement piece, the classic denim jacket finds itself at the centre stage of the clothes, as jeans, silk shirts, sweatshirts and t-shirts all come together to make the perfect outfit for a night of cognac.

“I believe that joy is best expressed through whatever medium you feel the most passionate about – for me, this is design and, more specifically for this partnership, the art of painting,” explains Fletcher. “This is something that brings me so much happiness, and having the creative freedom to communicate what ‘joy’ feels like to me through this collaboration has been really enjoyable.”
