Deep in Logue, of London, that is

When a woman stands up and takes charge of the way that she would like to present herself, efficacious constructive ripples are sure to follow, instructing the way the modern woman clothes herself, take a certain Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel for instance.  And at the epicentre of Logue London lies, significantly un-dormant, a certain Emma Logue, the shirted trailblazer behind the metropolitan-based label, who demonstrates that, as we all know, a stellar sartorial conquest often comes out of consequence.

Logue knows what she wants, and this can certainly be traced this back to her time slap bang in the centre of the banking world, when she worked at Morgan Stanley, restrained in a sector that monotonously dictates the correct codes of automaton duds. From this, the business buff cum design starlet foresaw a signature shirtdress in her future, patented as a prescription for the woman conscious of the versatility an outfit that can be stretched from the boardroom to her cocktail hour proposes.

The shirtdress is undeniably a very becoming mode, timeless, uncomplicated and natural, with just the right measure of authority, to pin just a few attributes, and though Logue always reserved an incline for the smooth shirted shape, it was not until friends, and even intrigued strangers, took it upon themselves to inquire once a local seamstress crafted the cut of the designers detailed designs.

Spurred on by this, once the varieties of collared and cuffed creations matured, contrasting an array of collars and sleeve styles with bounties of buttons, belts and other swank features, including glimmers of unexpected hues hiding beneath kick-pleats and cuffs, there was no looking back. The launch of the first capsule collection, inevitably an unprecedented success, then drew hoards of captivated media cohorts, as well as some prime trade interest, and some high-profile adherents, with Pippa Middleton, for one, stepping out to give the shirt some love.

And now, for SS14, Logue, an alchemist of personal style, has spliced her maverick design model with a few new seasonings. Prints are the new look for summer, making their first appearance thus far, and fresh pops of pastel schemes unite with the sumptuous silk blend advancements, allowing for materials to be twisted, churned and rolled without a single crease forming, ideal for the obligatory quick-sticks jaunt. Glass couldn’t stand to see Logue’s savoir faire of punchy conservative styling slip through your fingers, so keep a keen eye trained on the label in the future, Logue marks the spot where modern necessity meets style, and don’t forget, that’s eternal.
