Glass exclusively presents OASIS, the new campaign by Austin James Smith

WITH an indisputable experimental flare, Austin James Smith is one of the sexiest jewellery brands on the market today. Recognised for his other-worldly aesthetic and futurist influences, the New York based designer debuts his stunning new campaign for AW23.

Appropriately titled ‘OASIS’, the campaign is a captivating journey that exudes an element of alien sexuality. A departure from his previous collection, ‘UTOPIA,’ which instead exhibited a distinct industrial aesthetic, ‘OASIS’ is much more fluid, and yet is bonded by brand signatures that resonate with the designer’s long term vision.

What has ensured the house’s success thus far is an infectious element of escapism, with each chromatic detail representing a new storybook narrative that stems from Smith’s own life and personal growth; something incredibly poignant with ‘OASIS’.

Set in a sort of intergalactic desert, the campaign serves as a visual aid for the intention of the pieces, which through their distinct lava-lamp intricacy provide an allegorical celebration of life’s challenges, and the unprecedented strength of the individual to overcome them. Embracing the flow of energy, and moving forward with undeniable grace.
