Louis Vuitton unveils campaign for exclusive collaboration with Yayoi Kusama

LOUIS Vuitton’s latest collaboration with Yayoi Kusama is a celebration of color, playfulness, and expressionism. The exclusive partnership between the luxury fashion house and the avant-garde Japanese artist has yielded an exciting collection that captures Kusama’s most iconic motifs in a fresh and contemporary way.

The latest campaign, aptly titled “Creating Infinity,” showcases Louis Vuitton’s interpretation of Kusama’s distinctive dots, which were featured in the debut chapter. However, this time, the Maison has amplified Kusama’s expressive and joyful spirit in new motifs that bring a playful and imaginative touch to its iconic Capucines and Monogram accessories.

The campaign features a star-studded cast of ambassadors and friends of the House, including Lea Seydoux, Cate Blanchett, Justin Timberlake, Naomi Osaka, Hoyeon, and Zhou Dongyu. The playful portraits of these famous faces are adorned with expressionistic statements inspired by Kusama’s most distinctive motifs, such as radiant pumpkins, colourful faces, flowers, and infinity dots and nets.

The campaign’s creative direction, styling, makeup, and hair are impeccable. With the renowned photographer Steven Meisel behind the camera, the images exude an effortless and vibrant energy that captures the essence of the collaboration. Pat McGrath‘s makeup artistry and Guido‘s hairstyling complement the campaign’s motifs, while Ferdinando Verderi‘s creative direction and Carine Roitfeld’s styling bring a unique and artistic edge to the final product.

The collection, which will be available in-store worldwide on March 31, 2023, is expected to set new trends and inspire other creative collaborations.
