Immigrating from China as a four-year-old girl, Yiqing has lived her life in many different parts of the world. Yiqing is a very talented designer, and has been recently appointed the position of creative director of the French fashion house Leonard. The passion Yiqing has for designing is made apparent in the following quote, “Returning to my clothes was like living once more within my body and my emotions; I was at home.”

The MOTH collection consisted of many different design techniques blended together to complete final couture garments. Sophisticated draping of fabrics, gathered chiffon to flatter and create different transparencies, particular arrangements of fur, tie-dye and embellishment techniques such as sequins were used throughout the collection.
Models held strong expressions and postures on the catwalk creating a wilderness-type ambiance to compliment the beautiful pleats of fabric, showcasing the ultimate statement of femininity. The colour palette in the collection consisted of earth-like tones with metallics, navy blue and auburn browns.
