Ami calls upon Paolo Roversi to direct its latest AW23 campaign

DIRECTED by notorious fashion photographer, Paolo Roversi, Ami releases its new autumn-winter 2023 campaign.

Starring talents such as Guinevere Van Seenus, Audrey Marnay, América González, Noah Hanes, Taemin Park and Matthew Seymour, the campaign presents Ami’s latest collection in a series of theatrically-inspired images.

Having been shot at Roversi’s own Paris-based studio  – a small set lit perfectly to deter harsh shadows – the campaign captures every detail of the collection in perfect light.

A series of straight-ups are presented alongside moody images with chiaroscuro-inspired lighting. Strong shadows meet glowing, gentle highlights to further emphasise the dramatic flair of the campaign and underline the transient contrast between day and night, light and shadows, minimalism and eclectic exaggeration.

Having previously worked with Roversi, Alexandre Mattiussi – founder and creative director of Ami – gave up all creative control to the renowned image-maker for the latest campaign.

With their previous collaboration being a huge success, the new campaign follows suit with its own unique, poetic twist.

Mirroring the charm and sentiments behind its fashion show – presented at Pairs’ Opéra Bastille – the collection demonstrates Mattiussi’s immediately recognisable design approach.

Sleek, refined silhouettes meet their glamorous, sequinned evening-wear counterparts and exemplify Ami’s signature brand codes.
