This season Tadashi Shoji was feeling a bit more revealing in his choice of fabrics. It was a dark, intricate, sophisticated collection with some bursts of colour and beautifully woven patterns.
The AW15 collection had a tribal/Egyptian/Aztec like feel that revolved mainly around see-through fabrics used in a multitude of ways and slight pops of colour with an array of cut-outs and panelling. Jumpsuits and dresses are the most plentiful within the collection and it has a very runway to wear look. Fashionable, yet wearable.
There’s a sensual vibe to the clothing in the way it hugs and sways around the bodies of the models. Especially emphasized by the thin black chokers around their necks, and the strappy sandals. It’s a native feeling collection that gives fashion a primal edge.
