The Graduate Fashion Foundation presents Tu Clothing capsule collection by Josephine Roberts

THE Graduate Fashion Foundation is proud to present the Tu Clothing capsule collection designed by Josephine Roberts, winner of Graduate Fashion Week 19’s Tu Scholarship. Inspired by Josephine’s final year collection at Northumbria University, the 16-piece capsule celebrates the raw natural landscape of Cornwall – the place the designer considers her second home.

Focusing on elements of classic tailoring and fluid garments, the capsule portrays the harsh yet picturesque Cornish coastline, featuring everything from pastel pink two-pieces to statement swimwear and shaggy, multicoloured cardigans.

Taking inspiration from her favourite designer, Dries Van Noten, Josephine fuses prints with texture, structure with softness. “I would describe my collection as quirky, passionate, colourful, elegant and feminine,” says Josephine. “It is designed to be fun and wearable for all. I want people to feel themselves when wearing my clothes and not to be afraid to stand out. I would describe it as both casual and formal clothing as it all depends on the person’s individual styling.”
