Maison Valentino Essentials is a curated collection of versatile and essential items from Valentino’s collections, designed to reflect contemporary ideas of masculinity. The collection emphasises simplicity, emotion, and diversity with an emphasis on fluidity and the merging of opposites. It is an ongoing, expandable system that reflects the creative vision of Pierpaolo Piccioli, which includes romanticism and fragility as key elements of what he believes modern masculinity is.
The Creative Director looked to Italian movies and subcultures from the 50s and 60s to create his vision of freedom in men’s fashion. Breaking away from traditional ideas of masculinity, he focuses on attitude as the key element, where a change in perception can change everything. Essentials like tailored blazers, shorts, blouses, coats, pyjamas, suits, and accessories become tools for individual expression that are both current and timeless.
