Victoria Beckham teams up with Breitling for limited-edition watch

DESPITE being known for her feminine silhouettes, sleek tailoring and beauty empire, Victoria Beckham is no stranger to expanding her areas of expertise.

Since launching her eponymous brand in 2008, the designer has become a coveted household name. Today, Beckham has just announced a new limited-edition watch made in collaboration with Breitling – the leading Swiss watchmaker.

Founded in 1884, Breitling has truly honed in on the craft of innovative horology. As a result, the brand is credited with inventing the modern chronograph. The two affluent brands have come together to conceive a line of sparkling timepieces.

The offering – titled the Chronomat Automatic 36 Victoria Beckham collection – is limited to a small 1,500 pieces. The Chronomat has been a cult classic amongst Breitling cognoscenti. Now, with the British designer adding further contemporary flair, the watch is guaranteed to be a new wardrobe staple.

Many aspects of the watch remain unchanged in the latest collection. Retaining its key components doesn’t mean the watch is anywhere close to simple though, with Beckham introducing new colours into the infamous chronoscope’s design. To subtly reference her spring-summer 2024 collection, the designer has woven hues of peppermint, midnight blue, dove grey and sand into the timeless piece.

Similarly, the collection showcases the Breitling logo on the dial alongside Victoria Beckham’s initials on the seconds hand. Cases are available in stainless steel or yellow gold – a material brought back to life solely for this collection. Meanwhile, the dials of the watch also showcase the rarity of the collection. The stainless-steel dials are inscribed with “One of 400”, whereas their gold counterparts are adorned with “One of 100”.

The Chronomat Automatic 35 Victoria Beckham has a running time of 42 hours off the wrist, however, on the wrist, it will keep going as long as you do. The limited-edition Chronomat comes in a carefully crafted co-branded box and the gold pieces also come with a co-branded travel pouch.

Combining elegance, craftsmanship and longevity, the collaboration is certain to be an immediate success.
