LFW AW21: Palmer//Harding

PRESENTING one collection but splitting it into three parts, Palmer//Harding have taken this moment to showcase a truly emotional array of clothing. Inspired by the concept of falling in love, from the first moments where you can feel a lump in your throat and nervous butterflies exploring your stomach to the moment you fully open your heart and let someone make it their home.

With the initial excitement also comes fear as you become truly vulnerable to the person you are opening up to. From fear grows courage and passion, and that is exactly what Creative Directors Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding wanted to translate into this collection. Merging both spring-summer, pre-fall and fall 2021 collections into one.

The British womenswear label have put sustainability at the forefront of these collections with the promise that this is the start of a more conscious and socially responsible brand. Not only reducing carbon emissions but working with charities to give back to the community, this fresh start sees itself manifest into a versatile and contemporary collection.

Oozing elegance and confidence as the collection progresses, tones stay mainly neutral throughout with the occasional hint of colour.

Prioritising 100% sustainable and organic fibres such as cottons, polyester and Viscose, the collection is made to fit the modern woman. Though full of perfectly styled looks, each piece is as strong on its own. Puffy sleeves, mid-length dresses and cinched waists are the perfect combination for the new normal – nothing too extravagant, and loose enough to ease from day-to-night at home.

A collection steeped in pieces to match everyone’s taste. Palmer//Harding’s ability to cater to all women, both young and old, is something incredibly rare, the perfect brand for a shopping trip where I can find something for myself and so can my mum.
