BRITISH luxury fashion house Alexander McQueen has unveiled a new series of handbags –The Story. The new handbag line is the first of the three entirely new handbag families, which will be released for Spring/Summer 2020 pre-collection.
Inspired by the sharing of narratives which have long been at the heart of the house of Alexander McQueen, The Story bag has already established itself as timeless. The Story features a metallic iteration of the brand’s signature handle, which transforms the bag into a clutch, cross-body, or on-shoulder, making it easy to wear with any outfit, formal or casual.

The new handbag has already become a celebrity favourite and supermodel-approved. The Story was already spotted on Naomi Campbell, Kaia Gerber, and Selena Gomez. While its black edition has proved to be popular with celebrities, the bag actually comes in four colours (orchid pink, lust red, black, khaki and white), all of which have been inspired by endangered and extinct flowers.

The narrative of the flowers in the The Story handbag collection is echoed in the new Alexander McQueen exhibition, Roses, presented at McQueen’s flagship store in London. With the two iconic roses dress at its core, the new exhibition lets the visitors see the narratives and stories of the luxury brand, as well as the behind-the-scenes production of the brand’s collections.
