LILIA LITKOVSKA decided to present her brand’s highly-anticipated spring-summer 2024 collection as part of Paris Fashion Week.
Coming from a family of four generations of tailors, Lilia is particularly well-known for her eclectic silhouettes and expert tailoring which she showcases through her namesake label, Litkovksa. Her SS24 offering – named Rebirth – serves to amplify the voices of women in times of hardship and difficult.

Despite the perpetual sounds of air raid alarms, sirens and rocket attacks, Lilia continues to work tirelessly on her pieces providing her with an outlet amidst the turmoil of the on-going conflict.

Utilising a subversive window display technique during the presentation, the brand adorned the glass panels with various QR codes. Each QR code, once scanned, would exhibit streets that have been destroyed, damaged and demolish due to the Ukrainian war.
By amplifying the voices of those enduring the constant turmoil, on-lookers were emotionally moved and touched by the brand’s powerful message.

Additionally, Litkovska’s unique design approach left attendees enamored of the designer’s subversive techniques. Embellishing multiple ensembles with frozen seeds, Litkovska alludes to Ukrainian identity and heritage being trapped in time.
Speaking on the seasonal offering, the designer said: “Each collection is a new life, a new beginning. However, beginnings don’t always have neat endings; they can be interrupted at the most unexpected moment, in a moment that compels us to pause. The new SS24 REBIRTH collection is a call not to stop, even when this moment may seem imperfect.”

Garnering an impressive selection of guests including Suzy Menkes, Diana Pernet, Alex Wynne, David Cash, T.Priestly, Grecia De la Paz and many more, the evocative runway show made waves within the brand’s international demographic.
Demonstrating the importance of community, honest and openness, Litkovska continues to shine a light on her culture in the face of adversity.
